WHAT BEGINS TO UNFOLD AFTER A READING

Over the years, there have been times when a client will return after a reading and say something like, “Donna, that message really makes sense now.”

Sometimes there are messages that come through that hit the mark immediately, and other times they aren’t as clear in the moment or may even seem unlikely. In those situations, it isn’t uncommon for the meaning to become clearer as life continues to unfold.

When I sit down to provide a reading, my role is simply to make myself available to spirit and allow the information I hear to come through as clearly as possible. I don’t control what comes forward. I share what I receive in the moment. Sometimes the messages make immediate sense—and other times their meaning becomes clearer later on.

This is one of the reasons I provide a recording after each session. I always encourage people to keep their recording and listen again—either soon after the reading or sometime later. Listening again can bring a completely different level of understanding. Many people also find it helpful to share the recording with someone they trust, because another set of ears can sometimes catch things you didn’t notice the first time.

In connection with this, there are definitely times when returning for another session can bring a deeper level of clarity. Just like psychic readings, follow-up mediumship readings can also be very valuable as people navigate the loss of loved ones.

Recently, one of my clients sent me the following message and later gave my team permission to use it. In this situation, it is helpful in illustrating my message to you. 

“Donna, when you shared the names of individuals that my husband would encounter at the wake for his mother (who was very secretive while alive), we weren't sure what to think of what you told us. Even though we were unsure, we listened and wrote down the names of the people to listen for.

At the wake, we were shocked to meet each of these people—and through those encounters we discovered who my husband’s biological father was. This had long been a painful situation for my husband and the information you shared led to a life-changing moment that we will always be grateful for.

In the readings you’ve done for us since then, we’ve learned to simply listen and if something didn't make sense right away, we have trusted that it would later on - and this has been true many times for both of us. ~ M & J
