Breaking Patterns You Can't Quite Explain

There are moments in life when we catch ourselves repeating something we thought we had already outgrown.  A reaction that feels too strong. A fear that doesn’t quite make sense. A pattern that keeps showing up, even when we truly want something different. Many people assume these patterns are simply habits or personality traits. And sometimes they are. But other times, they can run deeper—rooted in experiences that haven’t fully been seen, understood, or released.

In my work, I’ve seen how both this lifetime and, at times, past life experiences can leave impressions on the soul. These impressions don’t always show up as clear memories. Instead, they can surface as emotions, sensitivities, or behaviors that feel automatic… almost as if they’re running in the background.

For example, someone may carry an unexplained fear of loss, a deep need for control, or a tendency to hold back from joy or connection. Even when life is safe in the present moment, something inside still responds as if it isn’t. That doesn’t mean anything is “wrong.”  It simply means there may be something ready to be understood.

When we gently begin to look at these patterns—without judgment—we create space for something powerful to happen. Awareness softens the intensity. Understanding brings compassion. And from there, real change becomes possible.

Whether the root comes from this life or another, the goal is always the same: to bring what is hidden into the light so it no longer has to guide your choices from behind the scenes.  You are not meant to stay stuck in patterns that don’t reflect who you are becoming. There is always a way forward—with clarity, with support, and with a deeper understanding of yourself.

Love,

Donna
